LEONI offers a wide range of products for the internal wiring of household appliances and their power supply.

Be it industrial applications or public buildings, we provide the wiring with the following products:

LED systems for underground car parks, street lighting in many of Europe's major cities and artificial light in green houses; all objects are illuminated with cables made by LEONI.

Products for building:

LEONI has wired such buildings as the Petronas Towers, the tallest buildings of the Frankfurt skyline and the European Parliament. With our cable solutions we connect energy bus systems, power windows and door systems as well as the sensors for ambient assisted living.

Our products for earthing & short-circuiting

Two areas of application are pertinent for earthing ropes:

Temporary earthing of equipment that is non-stationary.
Earthing and short-circuiting insulated AC equipment, from transmission and supply networks of all nominal voltages. This also includes rail networks.

LEONI earthing ropes are deployed above all for applications pursuant to IEC 61230 in the cross-section range from 16 to 150 mm².

Harmonisation describes member countries having joined in the CENELEC. It entails cross-border recognition of the approvals for our cable products in accordance with European / international standards.

Rubber cables

With its rubber cables portfolio, LEONI offers a broad range of cables approved according to European, Japanese, Chinese and American/Canadian standards.

Appliances and tools are frequently exposed to extreme mechanical and thermal stresses. Especially when it comes to outdoor use in dry, humid or wet environments, it’s all the more important that the cable ensures secure handling of the tools.

UL/CSA cables

Any electrical products intended for the North American market must be tested and approved with respect to potential hazards such as flammability, electric shock and, in the case of certain equipment, also electromagnetic compatibility.

Pursuant to product liability legislation, manufacturers must ensure by testing and certifying their components that these fulfil the national, legal requirements in every respect. LEONI offers its customers a comprehensive range of cable and conductor products, which conform to the UL standards of the United States and to the Canadian CSA standards.

High temperature cables

Safety requirements in building services engineering are rising inexorably. High temperature resistant cables that must guarantee error-free operation even in the case of fire are frequently required in certain equipment and plant as well as at exposed locations in buildings.

We develop and make high temperature resistant cables especially for:

Earthing ropes

Earthing ropes are used for temporary earthing of equipment that is non-stationary as well as for earthing and short-circuiting isolated AC equipment, from transmission and supply networks of all nominal voltages. This also includes rail networks.

High flexible single-core cables according to IEC 61138 (used in applications according to IEC 61230) starting from 16 – 150 mm²
ESY-PVC transparent (– 40 °C up to + 70 °C)
ESTPR-TPE-O insulation materials (– 50 °C up to + 90 °C)

Our earthing ropes are subject to ongoing optimisation and testing to the present IEC 1138 standard for cables used with non-stationary earthing and short-circuiting equipment.
